SDG #369 Aixun H414D Double Hot Air System - 2800W Total
The Aixun H414D takes an unusual approach for a hot air rework station: two fully independent channels in one chassis, each fed by its own 1400W handpiece and blower, for 2800W of combined heating capacity (3200W if the optional 1600W heaters are fitted). That makes it a genuine two-user bench station, but the more practical benefit for a single operator is keeping one handpiece set up with a fine nozzle and preset while the other runs a wider nozzle, avoiding constant nozzle swaps and cool-down waits.
The handpieces are the strongest part of the package: short, comfortable grips, glass fibre reinforced heat shielding, spring-retained nozzles, an illuminated ring that colour codes standby, heating and cool modes, and a vibration motor that buzzes when the set point is reached. That haptic cue turns out to be genuinely useful during desoldering, since you can keep your eyes on the board. The cast aluminium cradle with height adjustable arms, venting and a nozzle puller is a step up from typical bundled holders.
Internally there is a symmetrical layout around an EI core transformer, BTA41-600B triacs for heater and transformer switching, opto isolation, and a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module supporting 5GHz as well as 2.4GHz. Earthing relies on scraped paint contact areas plus screws rather than flying leads, and the mains fuse is a glass 15A time lag type, which is not ideal for UK fault current levels. Exposed handpiece connector pins under the front caps also warrant care.
Thermocouple checks showed the station reading close to its 300C set point out of the box, and both segment based and graphical reflow curve profiles are available for BGA work. Main niggles: unlabelled front panel buttons, coarse button repeat behaviour in curve editing, a faked cool-down temperature readout, and hoses that twist easily.
