SDG #229 Improved Aixun T3A Soldering Station Handpiece Cradle and JBC C115 C210 C245 handpieces

The Aixun T3A has become one of the more interesting budget alternatives to a genuine JBC station, and this follow-up examines two things that materially change how usable it is day to day: a redesigned handpiece cradle and expanded handpiece compatibility.

The original stand shipped with the T3A was the weakest part of the package, with a shallow cradle and a footprint that encouraged tipping. The replacement unit is examined in detail, covering how the handpiece sits in the holder, the sponge and brass wool tray arrangement, the build quality of the metalwork, and whether it is worth buying separately for an existing T3A. For long sessions at the bench, cradle geometry matters more than specification sheet numbers, because a holder that does not reliably catch the iron becomes a burn hazard and a workflow annoyance.

C245 is the standard fit, while C210 and C115 support opens up fine pitch and microsoldering work on the same base unit, which is a strong argument for the platform over single cartridge clones.
